1996年1月，第38届葛来美奖入围名单中，Mariah与新专辑Daydream共获得了6项提名。包括“年度最佳专辑”，“年度最佳唱片（One Sweet Day）”，“最佳流行女歌手”，“最佳流行专辑”……等大奖。第23届全美音乐奖在美国洛杉矶西奈堂揭晓，Mariah共获得“最受欢迎灵魂/节奏蓝调女歌手”和“最受欢迎流行/摇滚女歌手”两项大奖。1996年2月，第38届葛来美奖在美国洛杉矶圣殿大厅举行，Mariah受邀请与Boyz II Men现场合唱了"One Sweet Day"，为颁奖典礼揭开序幕。1996年12月，Billboard音乐奖揭晓，Mariah以5项入围拨得头筹。

在日本发行的第一版Daydream专辑，没有对封面进行处理，因此Mariah的一个手指头留在了封面上。后来在别的国家发行的该专辑，对封面进行了处理。
