2014年4月30日，Mariah Carey通过社交网络亲自宣布了第14张录音室专辑Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse的名称、封面图片、发行日期和曲目信息等，2014年5月27日专辑以数字和实体的形式发行。

Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse 在接受Billboard访问时，Carey透露新专辑“几乎是她全部生活的个人所有”。她将她童年时期的画作印刷在了专辑封底。“请不要用这个简单的专辑名来评价我。拜托，那时候我才三岁半，”在宣传视频中Carey说道。

谈到专辑名称的第二部分，The Elusive Chanteuse，Carey说这是她最近使用的一个昵称，和"Mimi"以及"MC"一样被周边的人们使用。

Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse 也正如Billboard所确认的，专辑邀请了Rodney Jerkins, Jermaine Dupri, Hit-Boy和Mike Will Made It等参与制作，演唱嘉宾则包括Nas, Wale和Miguel。在专辑曲目中还可以看到参与专辑演唱的歌手包括Fabolous, Carey的双胞胎Moroccan和Monroe (在4月30日专辑信息发布日，也是双胞胎的三周岁生日)。

Triumphant (Get 'Em)

Triumphant (Get 'Em) 2012年8月3日Mariah Carey推出了单曲"Triumphant (Get 'Em)"，单曲邀来说唱歌手Rick Ross和Meek Mill参与。歌曲的灵感来自生活，2012年初Mariah的丈夫Nick Cannon遭遇急性肾衰竭而入院治疗，好友Whitney Houston突然离去，这段经历促成了这首歌的诞生。

单曲于8月7日通过iTunes发行，随后两支重新演唱的混音单曲也通过iTunes发行。8月21日"Triumphant (Get 'Em)"音乐录影带全球首播。排行榜方面，这支单曲在Billboard Dance Club/Play Songs夺冠，成为Mariah在该榜第16支冠军单曲。 Triumphant (Get 'Em)
