2008年4月15日发行的Mariah第15张专辑，及第11张录音室大碟。专辑取名E=MC²来自于爱因斯坦的公式，但意思仅仅是表达Emancipation第2章的概念。专辑以首周463,000的销量成为Mariah的首周销量最佳专辑。

首支单曲"Touch My Body"由Mariah Carey, C. "Tricky" Stewart和The-Dream共同创作完成。这首歌在没有做任何宣传的情况下，仅仅依靠下载就直奔排行榜前50，而开放下载后的首周下载量也打破了历史纪录，同时也让Mariah拥有了自己的第18支冠军单曲。

歌曲较上一张专辑更加的轻松和真实，至少歌迷们这么想。专辑中有打动人心的"I Stay In Love"和"Bye Bye"，也有俱乐部舞曲"I'm That Chick"，有Mariah回馈歌迷的"For The Record"，还有Mariah的个人标志性抒情曲"I Wish You Well"。专辑首周销量达到了历史性的46万张，不仅打破了2008年度之前的首周最好成绩，也打破了Mariah自己的专辑首周销量记录。

2008年12月，在欧洲和日本发行了Mimi E=MC² Adventure Box音乐合辑。该产品收录专辑E=MC²和两张DVD The Adventure Of Mimi。让歌迷一次就可以购买到两个产品，随包装还收录一张互动CD-R碟，双面海报一张和Mariah的Logo钥匙环。

Right To Dream

Right To DreamMariah Carey和Willie Nelson共同为电影Tennessee创作的抒情歌曲。Mariah认为这并不是一首乡村歌曲，而是超越Mariah自己的一首作品。很遗憾，这首歌最终没有能入选奥斯卡最佳电影原声入围名单。

截止目前，"Right To Dream"还没有商业发行实体单曲，而仅仅在iTunes提供付费下载。在美国也有小范围的宣传单曲发行。
